Overview
As an Accounting Operations Specialist Intern, you may audit, research, and validate data for royalties processing, create customer invoices, assist with collections, maintain files, prepare general journal entries, and/or balance royalties payable records. You will use office-automated systems to input data, generate reports, conduct specialized research projects, and respond to inquiries. You may reconcile accounts and maintain a complete and detailed set of transactions in a specific phase of accounting.
**Internship details:**
+ The internship will begin in the spring of 2024.
+ This internship will take place onsite in the Conway offices.
+ 20-25 hours/week work dedication during the semester and up to 40/week during breaks and summer
+ Anticipated graduation date between May 2025 – December 2025. This role is open to undergraduate level students only.
+ Applicants for this internship position with Acxiom in the U.S. must have work authorization that does not now or in the future require sponsorship of a visa for employment authorization in the United States and with Acxiom (i.e., H1-B visa, F-1 visa (CPT/OPT), TN visa or any other non-immigrant status)
**What you will do:**
+ Audit and validate data and research to resolve problems with data
+ Review customer invoices for royalties due
+ Read, understand, and communicate contractual obligations related to timely payments and reporting to data contributors
+ Possibly assist with billing, research, and collections of customer invoices
+ Utilize and ensure data is recorded correctly in data / financial systems (i.e., Workday)
+ Assist with small ad hoc projects
+ Ensure compliance of controls and policies
+ Work closely with team members to meet deadlines
+ Maintain process documentation
+ Provide continuous improvement to standardize and streamline processes
+ Participate in required training to acquire needed knowledge & skills
+ Manage time, responsibilities, and priorities effectively with emphasis on your contribution
**What you will need:**
+ Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Accounting
+ Proficiency in key tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
+ Exposure to GAAP, financial concepts and revenue recognition concepts
+ High level of attention to detail
+ Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
+ Excellent written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills
