Position Summary:
Performs leadership role in on boarding, training and competency assessments for Phlebotomists, Lab Assistants and other support personnel engaged in the collection, transport, receiving, processing, distribution of blood and other clinical specimens into the clinical laboratory, microbiology and pathology departments. Oversee processing of send out medical specimens to reference laboratories and distribution of reports from same. Schedules staffing to achieve coverage for all shifts and dedicated service areas.

Minimum Qualifications:

3-5 years experience as Phlebotomist/Laboratory Assistant.

Be able to write/create/revise SOPs relative to collection, handling, transporting, and processing of patient specimens in the pre-analytical phase of laboratory testing. Must also address DOT and Deck processes.
