Position Summary:
The Lead Pharmacy Technician will provide support to the Pharmacy Technician Supervisor for direct supervision of pharmacy technicians with accountability for day to day activities, staff development, training and performance evaluations. The Lead Pharmacy Technician, under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, will assist in the various activities of the pharmacy department. The lead pharmacy technician functions in accordance with standard written procedures, guidelines and state and federal regulations.

Minimum Qualifications:
· High school graduate or equivalent
· 3 years as a hospital pharmacy technician OR a minimum of 1 year as a hospital pharmacy technician prior management experience to equal 3 years (hospital experience management experience = 3 years)
· Certification by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board
· Demonstrated competence core pharmacy technician duties such as aseptic and general compounding, inpatient and outpatient drug distribution.
· Good oral and written communication skills.
· Proficiency with electronic health records and automation
