LEAD PYTHON DEVELOPER (remote)
ARC Group has an immediate opportunity for a US-based Lead Python Developer for a remote position with a direct client. The Lead Python Developer will be the technical lead for the Scrum team and provide tech support to python developers and other team members as their go-to for any coding issues, configs, etc.
Candidates must currently have PERMANENT work authorization. Please do not call from a third party / C2C asking to share candidates. Sorry, but we are not considering any candidates from outside companies for this position.
This starts out as a six-month contract position with the strong potential to extend or convert to FTE. The Lead Python Developer position is 100% remote from the US and working in the Eastern time zone 8 AM to 5 PM. LEAD PYTHON DEVELOPER SCOPE: Candidate will be the technical lead for the Scrum team. Will provide tech support to developers and other team members as their go-to for any coding issues, configs, etc. Responsible for deployments and managing the timeline and work within the Scrum team.
LEAD PYTHON DEVELOPER SUMMARY:
Responsible for development, programming, coding of Information Technology solutions using Python to enable Customer Experience applications. Responsible for documentation of the system, conduct unit tests, peer code reviews and maintenance of internally developed applications, evaluation and performance testing of purchased products. Responsible for including IT Controls to protect the confidentiality, integrity, as well as availability of the application and data processed or output by the application.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Related Bachelor’s degree or related work experience
- 5+ years of Python development in a professional environment with technical design
- One or more recent years as a Technical Lead with strong communication skills
- Excellent understanding of Python programming mode and required libraries to develop REST API Services and demonstrated experience developing REST APIs using Python
- Must have experience with the following: Big Data (PySpark, Hadoop, Spark)
- Databases: Postgres, MongoDB, Redis and sqlite
- Development: DevOps
- Cloud platforms: OpenShift
- Security: Encryption, SSL/TLS, secure coding practices
- Analytics: NumPy, Pandas, Matplotlib + any other
- Agile methodologies: Scrum and Kanban
- Batch: BMC Control-M
