The Lead Warehouse Associate reports to the Warehouse Manager, and is located in Duluth, GA.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Lead Warehouse Associate is responsible for the various receiving, organizing, stocking, and shipping within the warehouse.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Delegate and assign work to Warehouse Associates, coaching, mentoring, and cross training when needed
- Operate the various types of forklifts
- Pick orders
- Stock inventory, sorting and placing materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence, such as size, type, style, color, or product code
- Inspects products for damages and reports as needed
- Ship products within the warehouse using computer equipment
- Communicate with external providers
- Assemble fundamental components using a combination of hand tools and equipment when needed
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment
- Assist in customer service or when necessary
- Perform other related duties as required and assigned
- Oversee the cleanliness of the department

- Leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams
- Ability to make decisions with little to no guidance based on company policies or procedures
- Ability to multi-task, organize and prioritize work
- Some overtime is required
- Must possess excellent customer service skills
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
- Ability to accurately follow instructions independently
POSITION SUPERVISES:
- This position supervises a team of warehouse associates.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience in shipping/receiving in a warehouse setting
- Prior supervisory experience preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
