Overview

As supervised and delegated by a registered nurse, provides direct patient care in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice of Medical/Surgical – Telemetry nursing

Reports to: Director Telemetry

*Minimum Education*
Graduate of a Program in Discipline (LPN) – Required

*Required Skills*
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Computer proficiency required

Certifications:
American Heart Association (AHA) OR American Red Cross Certifications
Basic Life Support (BLS) – Required to be current upon hire
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – Required within 6 months of hire

Licenses: State of Tennessee or Multi-State LPN licensure – Required
Proof of certification in IV therapy as mandated by the State of TN (ref: Chapter 1000-02 – .15 LPN Scope of Practice) – Preferred
