Overview
As supervised and delegated by a registered nurse, provides direct patient care in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
Reports to: Directorr of Physician Practices

*Minimum Education*
Knowledge of ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT codes, insurance benefits and healthcare backgrounds □ Preferred x Required
Knowledge of Athena and Meditech systems preferred.
Significant working knowledge of computers, telephones, copiers, and fax machines.

Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire
Licensed as a Practical Nurse in the Commonwealth of VA or Compaq licensure and in good standing with the Board of Health Professions.
