Overview
Maintains all refrigeration, air conditioning systems of the hospital. Performs a variety of other maintenance duties in and around the building and grounds of the hospital property.
Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor, Director of Plant Operations
*Required Skills*
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Some plumbing and electrical experience preferred.
Experience in health care building codes and maintenance preferred.
*Required Licensure/Certification*
HVAC certification preferred.
EPA Universal Certification for refrigerants preferred.
Valid driver’s license
Ability to regularly accept on-call assignments and ability to report to hospital within 30 minutes of notification.
Handle with Care within one year of date of hire.
*Minimum Education*
Graduate of two-year college course in refrigeration and air conditioning maintenance preferred.
