**Description**
**Manager for Clinical Data Engineering** **_Remote_**
The Manager for Clinical Engineering oversees a team of Clinical Data Engineers/Data Scientists that support an enterprise research portfolio, at the Health Research Accelerator department. The Manager will serve as a clinical engineering core leader to data producers (including clinicians and Informatics teams), consumers (clinicians and clinical departments/areas) and information systems/services (including Healthcare Intelligence) in the interest of ensuring high quality clinical data objects and analytic outputs for research and operations.
This critical role provides vision and direction for the ways in which data will be collected, extracted, stored, moved, maintained, validated and visualized by caregivers and coordination of initiatives focused on research, value, quality, safety, and clinical effectiveness improvement across PSJH using cloud infrastructure (Snowflake, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Azure Databricks, Azure SQL DW, Azure SQL, and Azure App Service). The role manages all data department functions, including work prioritization, communications, and staff development, and serves as the key contact for the different applications/tools to support the platform.
This role operates as the key liaison between data engineers, clinicians, administrative leaders, information systems teams, biostatistical resources and data visualization experts which span the Providence facilities and sites throughout the entire health system across the continuum of care. **Required Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare, a clinical discipline, Public Health, Business, Informatics, Computer Science or related field. Clinical Discipline includes, Nursing, Infection Prevention, Respiratory, Pharmacy, Quality or Foreign Medical Graduate orr equivalent combination of education and experience
+ 4 years of progressive responsibility in management and providing support to senior and executive leadership.
+ 6 years of experience in healthcare, partnering with staff at all levels working with Electronic Health Records, clinical data bases, quality, outcome and cost data.
**Preferred qualifications:**
+ Master’s Degree Healthcare, a clinical discipline, Public Health, Business, Informatics, Computer Science or related field. Clinical Discipline includes, Nursing, Infection Prevention, Respiratory, Pharmacy, Quality or Foreign
+ Medical Graduate. Or equivalent educ/experience
+ Within 1 year of hire Project Management
+ Within 1 year of hire Lean certification
+ Within 1 year of hire CAP
+ Within 1 year of hire Other change management certifications

Min: $62.26, Max: $100.22
WA Puget Sound
Oregon (Portland)
Min: $59.73, Max: $96.15
