· Responsible for informatics operational strategy and planning.
· Responsible for day-to-day management of informatics staff and projects.
· Responsible for identifying and recommending efficiencies for informatics processes.
· Maintains current knowledge of the Joint Commission Standards, National Patient Safety Goals “meaningful use”, and other regulatory requirements to integrate this into systems design.

*_Position Summary_*:
In close collaboration with clinical areas and IT&S, manages the day-to-day operations of the Informatics team including planning and executing clinical documentation projects, developing and delivering clinical education, and coordinating clinical documentation support activities. Works with the director to identify gaps and inefficiencies in the informatics process and recommends improvements.
