Overview
Works under the direct supervision of an MT or MLT and under guidance of the laboratory medical director and laboratory administrative director to provide limited clinical laboratory testing for patients of all ages and all patient types.
Performs waived and selected moderately complex procedures including patient testing, operation and maintenance of clinical laboratory equipment and quality control procedures.
*Minimum Education*
High school diploma or equivalent Required and at least one year of formal training in medical laboratory technology.

Formal training in phlebotomy or phlebotomy experience preferred.
Knowledge of basic laboratory functions.

Must be able to collect blood specimens and chain of custody specimens according to policy.
Ability to utilize keyboard, computer, and various pieces of general office equipment.
Ability to perform venipuncture and capillary puncture for patients of various ages.
Critical thinking, time management and organizational skills.
