Starr Regional Medical Center is currently seeking talent to fill the position ofMonitor Techfor our TelemetryDepartment. This job is permanent,full-time.

Core competencies include, but are not limited to the following:

* Performs continual surveillance of multiple monitors.
* Reads telemetry test strips and places them in the patient charts at required intervals.
* Identifies significant arrhythmias and/or signs of patient distress and intervenes appropriately.
* Identifies and corrects for artifacts.
* Reports abnormal assessment and telemetry findings or changes in patient physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
* Tests equipment for proper working order. Reports equipment problems to supervisor.

*Minimum Education*
High school diploma or equivalent or higher level of education:

Two years of college: X Preferred â–¡ Required
*Required Skills/Certifications:*
The below certifications will be required within 60 days of hire:
X Basic Life Support (BLS)
