Overview
Nurse Assistant / Monitor Tech is responsible specific patient care duties to meet safety and comfort needs of the patient under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse.Performs telemetry monitoring.Position is PRN / as needed. Shifts are 12 hours
* *Responsibilities
ยท Courteously and promptly assists internal and external customers and directs them appropriately.
ยท Performs basic patient care activities as delegated and supervised by an RN, including monitoring vital signs, possible taking blood glucose measurements, and recording intake and output.
ยท Assists patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living, including but not limited to bathing, grooming, eating, and ambulation.
ยท Reports abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
ยท Assists with keeping patient rooms and common areas stocked, clean and orderly.
ยท Performs continual surveillance of multiple monitors.
ยท Identifies significant arrhythmias and/or signs of patient distress and intervenes appropriately. Identifies and corrects for artifacts.
ยท Reports abnormal assessment and telemetry findings or changes in patient physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
ยท Tests equipment for proper working order. Reports equipment problems to supervisor.
ยท Excellent Customer Service Skills
ยท Graduate of a Nurse Assistant or Tech Program, preferred
ยท Current BLS certification required within 6 months.
