Overview

**Description**

This position is responsible for assisting clinical staff and members of the interprofessional healthcare team, as assigned, under the direct supervision of clinical staff within inpatient setting. This position performs delegated activities that include but are not limited to patient mobility and other patient maneuvers assisting patients in functional activities. This position provides specific patient care activities as directed by a therapist. Additionally, this role also serves as a Restorative Aide providing preventative, maintenance, or progressive restorative mobility care per resident’s plan of care under the supervision of a Licensed Nurse and/or registered therapist. Individuals must work cooperatively with members of the multidisciplinary healthcare team and in accordance with the established guidelines and procedures of Providence Alaska Medical Center. Functions according to the standards of the profession.

**Required Qualifications:**

+ H.S. Diploma or GED

+ National Provider BLS – American Heart Association within 30 days of hire.

+ 1 year in Transport and/or Lift Team

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ 6 months working in health care with patient contact.

+ 6 months of CNA experience.
