This is a combined posting for an Nursing Assistant, Associate Certified Nursing Assistant, Certified Nursing Assistant and Senior Certified Nursing Assistant. The requirements of each role are listed below under each associated title. Consideration for each role will be based on qualifications. The Nursing Assistant Provides assistance with direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse.

The Certified Nursing Assistant performs basic patient care by assisting in the treatment and care of patients under the direction of a licensed nurse.

The Nursing Assistant II performs the duties of a CNA and Health Unit Coordinator or Monitor Tech as required. Under the direction of the Nurse Manager or Charge, the

The Senior Certified Nursing Assistant performs a variety of tasks to assist professional nursing personnel in providing patient care in an assigned area and related to the clerical and receptionist activities; serves as the focal communication source in the nursing station and performs related duties as assigned.

**Nursing Assistant**

**Required Qualifications:**

+ Completion of an accredited Nursing Assistant program. Or equivalent educ/experience,

+ 6 months experience working as a nursing assistant within an acute care or outpatient setting.

+ National Provider BLS – American Heart Association upon hire.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ 1 year – Acute care experience.

Nursing Assistant, Salary Range:

Lubbock, TX

Min: $12.50, Max: $18.77

**Associate Certified Nursing Assistant**

**Required Qualifications:**

+ Coursework/Training – Completion of a Nurse Assistant Program.

+ National Provider BLS – American Heart Association upon hire.

+ Texas Nurse Aide – Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services upon hire. Or,

+ New Mexico Nurse Aide – New Mexico Department of Health upon hire.

Associate Certified Nursing Assistant, Salary Range:

Lubbock, TX

Min: $13.50, Max: $20.46

**Certified Nursing Assistant**

**Required Qualifications:**

+ Coursework/Training – Successful completion of the Health Unit Coordinator Class. Or equivalent educ/experience,

+ Coursework/Training – CNA: Successful completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant Training Course.

+ National Provider BLS – American Heart Association upon hire.

+ Texas Nurse Aide – Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services upon hire. Or,

+ New Mexico Nurse Aide – New Mexico Department of Health upon hire.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ 1 year – Experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant and/or Health Unit Coordinator.

Certified Nursing Assistant, Salary Range:

Lubbock, TX

Min: $13.70, Max: $21.28

**Senior Certified Nursing Assistant**

**Required Qualifications:**

+ Coursework/Training – Health Unit Coordinator: Successful completion of the unit clerk on the job training. And,

+ Coursework/Training – CNA: Successful completion of a certified nursing assistant training course. And,

+ Coursework/Training – Monitor / Telemetry Technician: Successful completion of a comprehensive cardiac dysrhythmias course or monitor technician course. Proficient in cardiac dysrhythmia detection. Or,

+ Coursework/Training – Phlebotomist: Successful completion of a Covenant approved Phlebotomy training course including a minimum of 20 patient sticks observed by Covenant Phlebotomist or Licensed Nurse (trained in Phlebotomy).

+ National Provider BLS – American Heart Association upon hire.

+ Texas Nurse Aide – Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services upon hire. Or,

+ New Mexico Nurse Aide – New Mexico Department of Health upon hire.

+ 1 year – Unit Secretary / Health Unit Coordinator experience.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ 3 years – Experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant in an acute care facility.

+ Successful completion of the Monitor Tech assessment.

Senior Certified Nursing Assistant, Salary Range:

Lubbock, TX

Min: $14.25, Max: $22.17
