Job TitleGolf Shop Outside Services Attendant/Golf Cart Attendant

Compensation: $11.00/hour plus tips

RoleProvide exceptional customer service to Members and Guests. Attempt to anticipate and fulfill customer needs in a variety of responsibilities as assigned which may include work in the areas of Cart Attendant, Valet, Starting and/or Marshall.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Embrace ECHO Teamwork values.
  • Maintain cleanliness of work area.
  • Treat all members, guests, and associates with respect. 
  • Maintain friendly appearance; greets Members and Guests by name with a smile.
  • Keep Head Golf Professional promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance.
  • Practice Range – sample tasks include:
    • Pick Range Balls.
    • Clean golf clubs.
    • Pick up and break down range.
    • Assist members with carrying clubs from range to cart.
    • Attend to range throughout the day to maintain cleanliness.
    • Send members to putting green five minutes prior to tee time.
    • Set stations with balls as described in the Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Cart Attendant – sample tasks include:
    • Stage golf carts with golf bags.
    • Carries out starter and marshal duties.
    • Cleans and maintains golf carts and cart attendant area.
    • Maintain the staging area, driving range, and practice area set-up.
    • Cleans golf clubs receive members at end of the round, records finish time and reports it to the Golf Shop.
  • Valet – sample tasks include:
    • Load and unload golf bags in/out of vehicles.
    • Bring customer golf bags to golf cart staging area.
    • Park vehicles (pull keys) in designated valet parking areas and retrieves vehicles on request.
  • Starter – sample tasks include:
    • Record Fee Structure and Transportation.
    • Submit completed Tee Sheet to Golf Shop.
    • Review a prepared list of golf course rules.
    • Inform Members of any unusual conditions that exist on the course.
    • Communicate with other Outside Service Staff to ensure that all players tee off at their scheduled times.
  • Ranger – sample tasks include:
    • Repair ball marks and fixes divots as needed.
    • Deliver messages to customers on the golf course.
    • Assist in training colleagues in proper safety techniques.
    • Check water and ice stations and restock supplies as needed.
    • Report golf course play situation to the golf shop staff at regular intervals.
    • Monitor all play on the golf course, with special attention to the area of pace play.
    • Recommend possible solutions to customers concerning course problems, especially the pace of play.
    • Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working environment, with continual emphasis on promoting associate health and safety.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Ability to operate a golf cart.
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of typical golf course.
