*Position Summary*

The Clinic Coordinator will collaborate with the physicians as well as other radiation oncology clinic support staff (RN, Oncology Clerk, Radiation Therapists, etc.) to ensure efficient clinic/patient flow and high quality, well-coordinated patient care for radiation oncology patients.

The Clinic Coordinator will ensure that patient referral, documentation, education materials, follow up activities, and supplies related to patient care are optimized for efficient, compliant, high quality patient care.

*Minimum Education*
Successful completion of the Nursing Diploma Program or an Associate’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited school is required.

*Required Skills*
Requires critical thinking skills, demonstrates attention to detail, decisive judgment and the ability to take initiative and work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Strong customer service and patient advocacy skills, excellent communication skills to interact with patients, families, care givers, and all levels of clinic personnel. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

*Certifications/License*
Requires a current North Carolina or compact state Registered Nurse license upon hire.Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) within 30 days of hire. ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate preferred.

*Minimum Work Experience*

2 years of clinical RN experience in any of the following settings: Radiation Oncology clinic, Medical Oncology clinic and/or infusion, ICU, Tele Unit, Med/surg unit, Emergency Department.
