*Position Summary:*Northeastern Nevada Regional Hospital is looking for a full-time leader in our Perioperative Services Department. The successful incumbent should be a highly motivated individual with strong leadership skills, who is willing to help step in to work alongside the team if needed. This role is responsible to ensure initiatives are in place, and they support the overall business plan and strategic direction. This position collaborates with staff, directors, and senior management to establish plans a achieve department specific goals and objectives.
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. The successful incumbent will have the ability to assess a variety of complex situations and determine the most effective means to resolve situations. Leadership skills in decision making, problem solving, and interpersonal relations are involved in the daily contracts of working with department directors, physicians, staff, visitors and vendors. Is responsible to set the climate for cooperation between co-workers and shifts for a smooth-running operation. Requires judgment/action that could impact the patient’s outcome.
*Minimum Qualifications:*
*Education:*Bachelor’s degree in nursing required. Master’s degree preferred.**
*Certifications: *Current Nevada RN License. American Heart Association certifications – Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support.**Certificate of Completions for both FEMA IS-100.C and FEMA IS-200.C required within 3 months upon hire (effective 7.1.2023), and every three years thereafter.**
*Experience: *A minimum of three (3) years progressive nursing experience in an acute hospital setting required. 5 years leadership experience preferred.
