**Philanthropy Officer – Foundation Admin at Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center & Children’s Hospital in Spokane, WA**

Providence Inland Northwest Foundation seeks a skilled Philanthropy Officer to join our team in support of Providence ministries in Spokane and Stevens County. Reporting to the Director of Philanthropy and using a team-based approach, the Philanthropy Officer participates as a member of the Major Gifts team to meet Providence Inland Northwest Foundation’s fundraising goals.

The Philanthropy Officer manages a portfolio of 75-100 individual major donor prospects with the aim of securing five- and six-figure donations in support of adult inpatient and outpatient service areas. The position qualifies, cultivates, solicits and stewards current and prospective donors for current-use gifts, multi-year pledges, as well as deferred and planned gifts.

In collaboration with the Director of Philanthropy, the Philanthropy Officer liaises with assigned service lines to develop a culture of philanthropy among senior leaders, physicians, and grateful patients.

**Shift Details:** Full Time, Exempt, Day Shift

**Required qualifications:**

+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education/experience

+ Comparable experience totaling five(5) years of progressively responsible full-time sales, marketing, public relations or experience which has involved direct face-to-face contact with clients; customers, prospective customers and members of the public

+ 5 years of progressively responsible relevant experience which includes at least three years of full-time fundraising. Demonstrated success of direct, face-to-face solicitation of gifts of $10,000 or more. Demonstrated understanding of the moves management process. Demonstrated ability to meet performance metrics.

**Preferred qualifications:**

+ Master’s degree

+ 1 year of managerial experience

+ 1 year of experience in healthcare philanthropy

+ CFRE – Certified Fund Raising Executive

The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
