Overview
Assists with patient care based on individual patient needs within the scope of practice under direct supervision of the Registered Nurse.
Minimum Education
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Required Skills
Certifications:
1. Current American Heart Association BLS certificate or obtained within 90 days after hire date.
2. EMT Certification Preferred.
3. One (1) year experience in acute hospital setting or in ambulance.
4. Successfully complete Phlebotomy Training within 90 days of hire date.
Successfully pass an arrhythmia exam within 90 days after hire date.
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Language Skills: Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
