Starr Regional Medical Center is currently seeking talent to fill the position of Phlebotomistfor our LaboratoryDepartment. This jobis permanent,PRN.

Core competencies include, but are not limited to the following:
* Labels, processes and delivers specimens for testing.
* Collects blood specimens using age-appropriate techniques.
* Maintains equipment and medical supplies.
* Assists with receiving, identifying, accessioning, processing and transporting specimens
* Maintains adequate stock of supplies.
* Maintains work area in a safe, aseptic and organized manner.
* Performs clerical duties including answering phones, data entry, and filing.
* Communicates test results to appropriate healthcare providers.
Minimum EducationHigh school diploma or equivalent:

Successful completion of Phlebotomy training program:

Required Skills/Certifications:Phlebotomy Certification: X Preferred â–¡ Required
The below certifications will be required within 60 days of hire:X Basic Life Support (BLS)
