Starr RegionalMedical Centeriscurrently seeking talent to fill the position ofPhlebotomist for ourLabDepartment.This job is permanent,PRN.
Core competencies include, but are not limited to the following:
* Labels,processesand delivers specimens for testing.
* Collects blood specimens using age-appropriate techniques.
* Maintains equipment and medical supplies.
* Assistswith receiving,identifying, accessioning,processingand transporting specimens
* Maintains adequate stock of supplies.
* Maintains work area in a safe,asepticand organized manner.
* Performs clerical duties including answering phones, data entry, and filing.
* Communicates test results toappropriate healthcareproviders.

Minimum EducationHigh school diploma or equivalent: â–¡ Preferred X Required
Successful completion of Phlebotomy training program: X Preferred â–¡ Required
