Overview
Assists a Physical Therapist with a patient’s rehabilitative activities to help reduce pain and improve mobility.
Reports to: Director Rehab Services or Director of Inpatient Rehab Services
Supports therapist in assessing the condition of patients, planning treatment programs, preparing treatment schedules and keeping records on the progress of treatment.

Assists with therapeutic procedures or administering procedures under a therapist’s supervision.

Assists in exercise instruction and demonstration, patient evaluation and testing.
*Minimum Education*
Associate’s degree in Physical Therapy Assistant – Required

Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association training center is required within 90 days of employment, if not current upon hire
