*Position Summary:*
Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center is seeking a full-time, ABR board-certified or board eligible medical physicist in Radiation Oncology. This position is a solo medical physicist position working with 1 radiation oncologist, 1-2 medical dosimetrists, therapists, nurses, social worker, and other team members.
Working under the direction of and in coordination with the Radiation Oncologist.The primary duties are to perform chart checks, quality assurance regarding treatment equipment, treatment plans, CT scanner, and all aspects of the radiation oncology department. Responsibilities will also include leading the physics department in any new treatment procedures adopted. Interpersonal, leadership and team building skills are highly preferred.
The department is equipped with a Varian Truebeam, GE Discovery CT scanner, and Bravos HDR equipment. Treatment plans are generated using Varian Eclipse. Quality assurance is completed using Mobius 3D, Rad Calc, Clear Calc and Arc Check. The generation of plans is also assisted by the use of a package of Radformation programs including Auto Contour, EZ Fluence and Clear Check. Registrations and Deformable fusions are completed using Varian Velocity software. Experience in radiation oncology physics, with preferred proficiency on TrueBeam and Varian products is highly preferred. Equipment/ software used include ARIA/Eclipse 15.6, Bravos HDR, Somatom CT-Sim, ScandiDos Arc Check 3D scanner, Clear Check, Auto Contour, Clear Calc, EZ Fluence, Velocity V4.0 and Mobius3D V4.0.1 Exceptional communication skills, leadership skills, interpersonal skills and team building skills are highly preferred.

*Minimum Qualifications:*
*Required: *Master of Science in Medical Physics or related field. Certified or eligible for certification by the American Board of Radiology. Must pass certification within 24 months of hire. Must be organized to plan, direct and conduct all functions related to physics within the facility. Possess knowledge and demonstrate competency in treating, planning treatment and execution of treatment to pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. Must participate in supporting programs to ensure effective and safe use of radiation and radionuclides in patients by the physician. Fluency in PC application and possess the understanding of 3D reconstruction/viewing. Possess developed skills in mathematics (algebra/geometry) along with basic radiation physics aspects.
