Overview
The Assistant Director of Nursing works closely with the Director of Nursing (DON) to improve the quality of patient care and services provided by the clinical team. This position works in conjunction with the DON to monitor nursing activity, communicate change, evaluate performance, and discipline staff as needed. This position provides direct resident care as staffing patterns demand.

Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
– Min. 5 year’s Skilled Nursing experience required
– Min 3 year’s Supervisory experience required
– Must possess working knowledge of accreditation standards and compliance
– Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
– Ability to work beyond normal working hours, including weekends, holidays, and emergencies when necessary
– Visible within the organization
– Highly organized
