Job Description: Project Engineer
Position Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire 
Location: Milwaukee, WI
Pay Range: $90,000 – $120,000
 
Summary:
We are currently looking for a Project Engineer to work for an industry leading manufacturer in Milwaukee, WI. In this role, you will take ownership of engineering projects, including custom jobs and NPDand align all stakeholders to meet project goals and produce high quality products.
 
Responsibilities: 
  • Lead projects or product engineering initiatives from inception to completion.
  • Perform engineering around the planning and design of tools, fixtures, machines and other mechanical equipment.
  • Research and analyze design proposals to evaluate the feasibility of designs or applications, considering cost and maintenance requirements.
  • Work with drafters in developing the structural design of products.
  • Examine machine failures and pinpoint cause of problems. Suggest remedial measures and give repair instructions.
  • Suggest and design modifications as needed.
  • Assist customers in troubleshooting and testing issues.
  • Assist production in building and testing machines.
  • Develop components and systems in a CAD environment (SolidWorks and AutoCAD).
  • Communicate technical details, ideas, and concepts to engineers and non-engineers in multiple locations.
  • Up to 10% travel as needed.
 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
  • 5+ years’ experience engineering in a manufacturing environment
  • SolidWorks PDM and AutoCAD experience, AutoCAD preferred
  • Experience working in ERP systems (SysPro or Visual Manufacturing preferred)
  • Experience managing engineering projects from inception to completion
  • AC Motor and Eddy current technology experience strongly preferred
  • PMP Certification strongly preferred
