Job Description
Project Manager with Payor side of Health Insurance needed who works with Health Insurance business partners to identify and implement scope for medium to large sized projects. Projects are business oriented in nature often with data, process and/or system configuration changes, focused on end-to-end (E2E) process optimization. Works with limited guidance and is responsible for applying project management knowledge, skills, tools and techniques to project deliverables, processes, and systems.
Responsibilities:
- Work with Health Insurance Business and IT Stakeholders to understand the parameters (Scope, Schedule, and Cost) of projects.Â
- Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
- Tracks milestones, deliverables, and change requests.
- Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
- Report and escalate to management as needed
- Perform risk management to minimize project risks
- Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
- Serves as a liaison to communicate information regarding changes, milestones reached, and other pertinent information.
- Works with limited guidance and is responsible for applying project management knowledge, skills, tools and techniques to project deliverables, processes, and systems.
- Operates within defined parameters using project management methodology.
- Work with Medicare/Medicaid
Skills:
- Proven experience in Health Insurance Payor project management and software development.
- Excellent client-facing Business/IT side Health Insurance and internal communication skills
- Good working knowledge of project estimation techniques.
- Good leadership, decision-making, and organization skills.
- Strong attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills

Required:
- A minimum 10 years of project management experience for Senior Project Managers and 5 years for Project Managers
- A minimum 5 years of Health Insurance Industry (Payer) experience for Senior Project Managers and 3years for Project Managers
- Bachelor Degree
Preferred:
- MBA or equivalent Degree
- PMP or equivalent Certification
