**Department Details**
Dynamic rural hospital setting, inpatient, outpatient, LTC and HH. Monday through Friday, 8am – 4:30pm clinic hours, weekend rotation. Multidisciplinary rehab team.
**Job Summary**
Join our family as a Physical Therapy Assistant and help our patients and residents maximize their potential. While working under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) assists patients and residents with therapy activities and exercises scheduled in a treatment plan to improve their quality of life and ability to perform daily activities. **Responsibilities**
* Provides, monitors and records therapy services to patients/residents with physical, cognitive, or developmental impairments
* Selects, implements, and modifies therapeutic activities and interventions consistent with demonstrated competency levels and goals
* Exchanges information with and provides documentation to the physical therapist about responses to and communications during intervention
* Follows and adheres to accepted clinical practice guidelines of professional organization
**Qualifications**
Appropriate education level required in accordance with state licensure.
Must be licensed in the state(s) of practice as a Physical Therapist.
When applicable, may require valid driver’s license.
Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications. Basic Life Support (BLS) for health care providers required or within the first 60 days of employment.
