**Providence Health Plan is calling a Quality Improvement Coordinator, Accreditation who will:**

+ Use QI techniques (e.g., PDSA, lean, 6-sigma, root cause analysis) to lead performance improvement around a requirement or quality improvement project(s).

+ Serve as content expert on accreditation requirement , as assigned. Develop a deep understanding of the requirements assigned. This includes:

+ Conduct self-directed investigation/research into the rationale for the requirement, technical specifications, and frequency.

+ Participate in decisions regarding project design, data collection, data analysis, methodology, and data interpretation.

+ Identify root causes of problems and other perceived barriers.

+ Develop improvements to work through the identified barriers. This includes assisting to resolve systems problems.

+ Evaluate attainment of results and document the summary findings.

+ Communicate with others (internal and external stakeholders) around the requirement

+ Use project management skills, such as development of timelines, identifying internal/external stakeholders, meeting management (agenda planning, minutes), monitoring deliverables, in-scope, communication/reporting plan.

+ Support interpretation of data as it pertains to an assigned accreditation requirement. Be able to explain results. This includes, understanding data limitations such as small denominators, general trending, and identifying special cause variations and discussing outliers.

+ Demonstrate problem solving, leadership, conflict management, and team building skills in order to ensure a productive work environment and achievement of goals. Support the organization’s quality objective by demonstrating flexibility, being proactive, displaying positive team behavior, and willingness to accept responsibilities in a changing environment.

+ Perform under minimal supervision with accountability for specific goals/objectives.

+ Actively participate in Accreditation team meetings and departmental Quality meetings. Participate in any assigned committees or meetings with a clear understanding of role. Meetings could include internal and external stakeholders.

**Required qualifications for this position include:**

+ Master’s Degree in Public Health, Public Administration, Health Administration or Management, Adult Education, or another clinically related field of Study **-OR-** a Bachelor’s Degree and 5+ years of continuous experience in healthcare or health plan quality management, quality improvement or project management

+ 2+ years of experience in project coordination/management

+ 1+ years of experience in quality management/quality improvement

+ Experience in project management, program evaluation, team facilitation, data analysis, and/or medical management

+ Strong experience in Excel functions, PowerPoint presentation developing, including graph/chart functions within these programs

The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
