Position Summary:

Supports imaging technologists with preparation of patient and examination room prior to, during, and following imaging procedures in accordance with established infection control practices. Works under direct or indirect supervision of an imaging technologist in performing diagnostic procedures, Clerical and Transport duties.

Reports to: Radiology Supervisor

FLSA: Non-exempt

Minimum Qualifications:

*Minimum Education*
High School Diploma or equivalent required
*Minimum Education*
Currently enrolled in an accredited or approved program in Radiologic Technology. 2nd Year Student.
Successful completion and documentation of clinical competencies and associated academic course work in the following areas: Chest, Abdomen, Spine, Cranial and Facial, Upper Extremity, Lower Extremity, Thorax, IVP, and GI procedures to include Upper GI, Small Bowel, Lower GI, and Gall Bladder.
Successful completion and documentation of academic course work in the following areas of study: Patient Care and Basic Radiation Safety and Protection. Successful completion and documentation of C-Arm competencies.

*Required Skills*
Completion of a Radiography program.
Must possess good communication and patient care skills.
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Certifications:
X Basic Life Support (BLS) with 30 days of hire
X Registered Technologist (RT) registration issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) needs to be obtained within 6 months of start date.
