The Regional Demand Planner reports to the Vice President Regional Procurement,.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Regional Demand Planner is responsible for developing and applying best practices and processes, to ensure that sufficient stock and non-stock inventory is available to meet customer or project demand. This role will help develop and maintain effective forecasting models and other tools to support inventory levels and ordering patterns.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure a robust demand forecasting process; making use of, and developing, necessary tools to support the forecasting activities. Ensure clear documentation of assumptions and occurrences in order to analyze the root causes to further improve the accuracy of the forecasts and resolve critical business issues.
- Ensure relevant and necessary policies and procedures are in place and regularly updated to facilitate clear roles and responsibilities.
- Collaborate with inventory management team to develop field inventory strategies aligned with the organization’s financial targets.
- Support on-time delivery as per confirmed/quoted date (service level reliability).
- Work with the Sales and Operations teams to forecast sales of new products and onboarding of new customers.
- Manage the frequent communication with the cross functional team on product availability and critical items, highlighting risks of customer shortages, back in stock projections, root cause of the issue, and preventative actions to avoid future reoccurrence.
- Responsible for setting, reviewing, and maintaining safety stock policy by SKU to meet agreed upon customer service level objectives while minimizing associated working capital costs
- Supervise product obsolescence and risk of aging stock, connect with relevant departments to align on potential actions to mitigate financial risks, and propose preventive actions to reduce future reoccurrence.
- Responsible for gathering necessary inputs from other operational functions that impact supply outlook.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or equivalent, College Degree preferred
- 3+ years of Purchasing or Demand Planning experience preferred
- Proficient computer skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Knowledge of Navision preferred
- Proficient typing skills
- Ability to successfully pass a background check
