Job Title: Registered Nurse – Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit team. The ICU RN will play a critical role in providing specialized care to critically ill patients, monitoring their condition, and administering life-saving treatments in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:

Patient Assessment and Monitoring:
- Conduct thorough assessments of critically ill patients, including continuous monitoring of vital signs, interpreting diagnostic data, and recognizing changes in patient status.
- Utilize advanced assessment skills to identify and respond promptly to critical situations.

Patient Care and Treatment:
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed, ensuring accuracy and adherence to protocols.
- Perform complex procedures such as arterial lines, central venous catheterizations, and mechanical ventilation management.

Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals, to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Effectively communicate with patients’ families, providing updates, education, and emotional support during critical illness.

Documentation and Record-keeping:
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, documenting assessments, interventions, and responses to treatment.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and policies related to ICU patient care.

Critical Thinking and Decision Making:
- Demonstrate critical thinking skills and sound judgment in managing complex patient cases and emergency situations.
- Prioritize tasks effectively and make informed decisions based on patient assessments and data.
Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas.
- Minimum of [X years] of clinical experience in an ICU or critical care setting preferred.
- Proficiency in advanced cardiac life support (ACLS), critical care nursing practices, and ventilator management.
