Job Summary
The RN Clinical Lead supervises daily staff activities for an assigned area or function. This position oversees the
activities of the clinical unit and assigned staff during scheduled shifts, provides patient care, enhances department
workflow and provides leadership at the point of care. Collaborates with the director and is the support for the unit
when the director is unavailable.

Essential Functions
* Scheduling/management of nursing
* Management of Kronos, then director signs off
* Assisting with STR audits
* Education management and orientation of nursing/CNAs
* IRF PAI auditing and QI credentialing
* Assist with interviews and hiring of nurses/CNA.
* Attend RN huddles
* Attends NEC monthly meetings
* Monitors Hand Hygiene and pain audits for PSCQC
* Chart auditing for nursing
* Performs staff responsibilities as needed to fulfill required service levels.
* Leads the handling and resolution of complex issues and complaints.
* Performs or assists with performance evaluations and disciplinary actions.
* Assesses and ensures quality of services delivered and facilitates staff development programs. Ensures staff compliance with departmental and organizational policies, procedures, and protocols.
* Assist with staffing as needed
* Assists with discharge planning when needed
* Help manage productivity in Laborlytics regarding RN/CNA staffing

Minimum Education
Associate’s degree required
BSN preferred

*Certifications:*
Basic Life Support (BLS) required
ACLS and PALS within 3 months of hire.

Current RN license valid in NC

*Minimum Work Experience:*
2 years nursing experience required.
