**Description**

Responsible for organizing and coordinating the development, submission, and follow-up of clinical research project applications, including contracts and budgets, for the St. Joseph Heritage Healthcare Research program.

**Required qualifications:**

+ Bachelor’s Degree From an accredited college or University, preferably in Business or Research. Or equivalent educ/experience

+ 2 years Experience in medical or research administration.

+ Experience in carrying out administrative duties independently and accurately with attention to detail and prioritization.

+ Experienced in the use of MS Office software to include word processing and spreadsheet presentation.

**Preferred qualifications:**

+ 2 years Working experience in research or sponsored projects administration.

+ Working experience with contract and grant/budget development related to research.

Main responsibilities include, but not limited to:

+ The review of charges, processing and tracking of on-going research related clinical billing, and regular review of research related billing process for accuracy and compliance.

+ Reviewing Epic claims processing reports to compare charges against coverage analysis breakdown of Routine Care and Investigational Service delineation. Coordinates splitting of charges between Research and Insurance (Routine Care). Transfer charges between guarantors as appropriate.

+ adding appropriate research related Q modifiers, diagnosis codes, NCT and IDE information, as required by Medicare for research patients.

+ High-level analysis for claims processing to compare against determination of budget breakdown of SOC and investigational service delineation.

+ Resolving incorrect billing and ensures refunds are made, if required

The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.

**About the Team**

Providence Physician Enterprise (PE) is a service line within Providence serving patients across seven states with quality, compassionate, coordinated care.
