Overview
Assures provision of optimum quality patient care by serving as a reference and resource person for the staff, patient and family.
Coordinates patient care with other departments
Evaluates effectiveness of staff and unit performance
Reviews existing clinical data, collects additional data and recommends obtaining
Selects, assembles, and checks all equipment used in providing respiratory care
Initiates, conducts, and modifies prescribed therapeutic and diagnostic procedures
Maintains patient records and communicates relevant information to members of the health care team
Functions as “team leader” on assigned shifts to assure quality care is given
Continues with self-development
Promotes a positive image of department and self
Provides age appropriate care to all patients

Minimum EducationGraduate of a Program in Discipline â–¡ Required
