Overview

A clinical registered nurse that serves as a role model for the staff of the clinical specialty or department. The Clinical Supervisor, in collaboration with the Director, is responsible and accountable for the day to day operations, continuous improvement, staffing, and performance of the unit. Serves as a liaison between the staff and management, assisting the Director in determining staffing needs and identifying opportunities for improvement.

Minimum Education

Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred.

Required Licenses

Registered Nurse
Current Registered Nurse Licensure to practice in the state of Kentucky OR a Current Registered Nurse Licensure with a multistate compact status.

Minimum Work Experience

One year of experience in a telemetry monitored unit required.

Required Skills

1. Current American Heart Association BLS certification or obtain within 90 days after hire date.

2. Current American Heart Association ACLScertification or obtain within 6 months after hire date.

3. Successfully pass an arrhythmia exam within 90 days after hire date.

4. Language Skills: Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
