Essential Functions

Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth.Prepares and maintains physician scheduling according to facility needs.Serves as medical staff liaison.Assists with developing specific departmental goals, standards, and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization.Supports the providers with integration of evidence-based practices into operations and assists with coordination of clinical protocols.Supports providers in performance improvement projects.Assists providers with submitting orders for durable medical equipment, death certificates and other clerical duties as assigned.Facilitates communication to the patient’s primary care provider (including but not limited to) history and physical, discharge summary and other communication as needed.Communication with patients following discharge regarding follow up care.Chairs the Daisy CommitteeCreates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth.

Job Requirements

Minimum EducationAssociate’s Degree Nursing (ADN) RequiredBachelor’s Degree Nursing (BSN) Preferred

Required SkillsLicenses:Registered Nurse in State of KY
Certifications:Basic Life Support (BLS)Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) 30 days
Minimal completion of Level One on the Clinical Ladder Program annually for Full-time nurses. If not completed, employee forfeits the annual evaluation pay increase and possible termination.
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
