Registered Nurse – Managed Outpatient Services
Position Summary:
Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.
Documents patient care given.
Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition asappropriate tocare team, physician, patient, and family.
Performs the delivery of Chemotherapy and other medications.
Coordinates multiple patient treatments in an efficient manner.
Providesphlebotomy, intravenous therapy, woundassessmentand dressing changes.
Interprets lab values, reports tophysicianand assesses/implements potential treatment charges.
Providespatienteducation about diagnosis and treatment.
Performs the delivery of care,in accordance withquality and infection control standards.
Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge,referraland spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family andprovidespatient/family educationappropriate toage, culture,condition, and circumstances.
Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.

Minimum Qualifications:
* Graduate of a Program in Professional Nursingrequired
* Bachelor’s degree preferred
* Requires critical thinking skills, decisivejudgmentand the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and takeappropriate action.
* Requires flexibility in scheduling and ability to work all shift patterns includingweekendsand holidays to ensurecontinuity of care and appropriateness of nursing coverage to the patients of Sovah Health Danville on all units.
