Department/Unit Summary
PACU is a unit that can open-up-to 4 bays at a time with a 1:2 ratio. The ratio may become 1:1, depending on the acuity of the patient. We care for a variety of patients thatincludesbut are not limited to the following surgical services: Urology; Orthopedics; Endoscopy; General Surgery; Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT); Gynecology (GYN); Spine; and Podiatry. What sets us apart from other units is the Teamwork Approach with all of us having the same goal of providing specialty surgical care atyourback door.

Qualifications and requirements
Applicants should have a current VA (or Multi-state) RN license andpossessa nursing degree from an accredited nursing school (Bachelor’sdegree preferred).Additionalrequirements include:
* American Heart Association Basic Life Support
* Experience in clinical area preferred
* American Heart Association ACLS within3monthsof hire
* Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) American Heart Association required within 6 months of hire
