Position Summary:

The Quality Coordinator will be responsible for data abstraction for Inpatient/Outpatient quality performance measures, conducting medical record reviews , gathering data from a variety of sources and chart reviews, data retrieval, data entry, data presentation/formatting, and general support for the Hospital’s Quality Standards program . Serves as a resource for reports and participates in the collection, compilation, analysis and presentation of data for the Quality Department.
Reports to: Director of Quality
FLSA: Exempt

Minimum Qualifications:

*Minimum Education*
x Associate’s degree Preferred or equivalent of 5 yrs LPN experience
Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing, Healthcare or related field preferred but will consider other medical science degrees with experience.

Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Licenses:
AZ State RN Licensure or LPN AZ Licensure required on hire
(Compact state acceptable)

Specialized training in statistical process control (SPC), Performance Improvement, Quality Assessment and Assurance, and Regulatory Management strongly preferred. Training and education in Performance Improvement tools and techniques strongly preferred.

*Minimum Work Experience*
• Work requires a professional level of knowledge of the clinical record or clinical competencies in clinical nursing. Minimum 3 years’ experience in acute care facility
• Knowledge of performance improvement functions.
