Overview
Provides direct patient care to outpatient surgical patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
Reports to: Supervisor of Outpatient Svs; Director of Surgical Services

Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
*Required Licensure/Certification*
Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS) required 30 days after hire
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 1 yr of employment
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 1 yr of employment
Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of VA, or Compact licensure as a Registered Nurse which includes the Commonwealth of VA, and in good standing with the Board of Health Professions.
