Registered Nurse (RN) – Wound Care Coordinator

Position Summary:
Supervises daily operations in the Wound Care/Hyperbaric Medicine Clinic. Supervises employees and completes written evaluations annually. Assures staff education including orientation, competence assessment and documentation. Responsible forassistingin procedures providing patient education,assessmentand monitoring.

Minimum Qualifications:
* Current licensure as a Registered Nurse from the Virginia State Board of Nursing or a Compact State.(U.S. Navy Deep Sea Diving Medical Technician or Special Operations Tech will be considered as equivalent.)
* AHA Basic Life Support (BLS)
* Requires ability to function in stressful situations.
* Verbal ability to present information and ideas related to nursing theory and practice.
* Ability to accept responsibility and accountability to prescribe, delegate, and coordinate nursingcare.
* Requires the cognitive ability and practical ability to provide nursing careappropriate tothe patient populationassigned, considering patient age, growth and development, and diagnosis with full implementation of the nursingprocess to include Assessment/Reassessment, Nursing Diagnosis, Planning, Implementation, and Evaluation.
