The Sales Enablement Specialist reports to the Chief Marketing Officer, and can be located in Atlanta, GA, Chicago, IL, Lewisville, TX, San Diego, CA, Mansfield, MA, or Cleveland, OH.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Sales Enablement Specialist is an individual with industry experience, knowledge of our preferred vendors and their products, has, or can establish, relationships with these vendors, and is skilled in communications. This person will collaborate with sales leadership and Category Management/Marketing to design and implement impact trainings, both in person and virtual, across a wide range of products and vendors. This individual will also measure the impact of these trainings through sales and profitability uplift.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identify and evaluate opportunities for continuous improvement of Sales Team Members and Leadership
- Deploy programs and initiatives that enable our sales teams to better execute the core-aspects of their jobs more effectively, especially as it relates to selling and revenue performance.
- Utilize skills and expertise to manage projects effectively and efficiently.
- Create and implement a Training strategy in-line with Category Management vendor strategy.
- Develop a dashboard and metrics to track the impact of sales training.
- Participate as a thought leader in the creation of [individualized] sales development/training plans.
- Collaborate with Business Leadership to define vision, and development roadmaps.
- Serve as subject matter expert on Sales Training and Skill Development.
- Mentor and coach team members and stakeholders on training methodologies.
- Manage departmental budget and work through the budget planning sessions.
- Collaborate with the CGO to maintain a list of Industry Trade Shows, Customer Shows and Local Events and develop dashboard to track participation/attendance, lead generation and impact to TriMark.
COMPETENCIES:
- Proven understanding of the FE&S distribution ecosystem.
- Desire/drive to push team members to improve selling techniques, product knowledge and soft skills.
- Knowledge of Power BI reporting, and development of key metrics, and ability to translate metrics and trends to business leadership.
- Proven ability to lead and complete projects and achieve results.
- Strong leadership, coaching and performance management abilities.
- Process and service oriented.
- Extensive experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Capable of communicating and collaborating with key business stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Hands on approach, while managing through influence.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, or related field
- Experience creating and executing short-term tactical plans as well as long-term departmental strategic plans
- Knowledge of food service industry and vendor relationships
- Experience managing projects and resources
- Periodic travel is required
- 5+ years of experience in FE&S or related work experience
- Experience working with FE&S Vendors, or related vedor experience
- Proven ability to inspire change across a large organization
- Strong execution and implementation ability in a complicated business environment
- Has strong planning, communication and presentation skills, and the capability to listen and influence
- Ability to successfully pass a background check
