Overview
The Scheduling and Eligibility Specialist assumes responsibility for knowing the details of scheduling surgeries and studies assumes the responsibility for verifying patient eligibility, coordinating benefits, and determining patient coverage and responsibility for services.
Minimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Coursework in medical terminology strongly preferred.
Minimum Experience: Two or more years working in a hospital Admissions/Registration Department and patient care healthcare setting required.
Must possess the knowledge of Commercial and Medicaid insurances. Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred.
