Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Senior Accountant :

 

– Accurate, complete, and timely processing of journal entries

– Thorough analyses of the general ledger account activities and other monthly analytical closing activities

– Providing detailed responses to assorted inquiries from various departments

– Providing supporting documentation and insight for the financial reporting process

– This is a 3-month contract with the possibility of extensions or conversion to full-time employment

– CPA certification or candidacy is preferred

 

Required Skills for Senior Accountant :

 

– 4+ years of experience in an industry accounting, public accounting or internal auditing role

– Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field from an accredited college or university

– Proficiency using Microsoft Office, with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel

– Experience with SAP enterprise software and/or Business Objects reporting software is preferred

– Knowledge of SEC requirements, GAAP, and new accounting pronouncements
