**Job Summary**
Senior Business Analyst manages the business requirements for small to large projects for a business function, with primary focus on large/complex initiatives. Work independently with minimal direction on day-to-day work. Determine own methods and approaches, and establish own work priorities and timelines for own work. Works with business stakeholders to understand and analyze objectives, underlying issues and business case, and facilitate scoping and business prioritization.
Investigates business needs, problems, and opportunities consulting stakeholders as appropriate. Owns and manages functional and nonfunctional business requirements, ensuring traceability across stakeholders.
Analyzes requirements to ensure they are fit for purpose and adhere to business objectives and consistency, challenging positively as appropriate. Provides input to test analysts on (in particular non-functional) requirements to be covered in test case.
Demonstrates increasing responsibility and complexity in managed initiatives, as well as expertise and knowledge of industry standards and serves as a resource to other Business Analysts and staff.
**Qualifications**
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in computer science, business or a related field.
Three years’ applicable work experience required.
Formal business analysis (BA) training is recommended. An individual working towards a certified business analysis professional (CBAP) certification is preferred.
