**Description**
**Providence St. Joseph Health is calling a Senior Data Specialist to work remotely within our footprint states: AK, CA, MT, OR, TX and/or WA.**
The Senior Data Specialist is responsible for maintaining the integrity of the electronic medical record to include management of chart correction processes in Epic and EMPI (Enterprise Master Person Index) maintenance and provides oversight and expertise to all sites and affiliates as it relates to the EMPI and data integrity of the electronic medical record (EMR). Coordinates the parties involved in each chart correction case and is responsible for ensuring all necessary corrections are made and each case is validated prior to closure. Works with organization wide, cross-functional teams, including affiliate organizations, to review, analyze, identify, recommend and develop policies and procedures that ensure the integrity of the EMPI and EMR.

**Required qualifications:**
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Record Technology Or equivalent educ/experience
+ 5 years In healthcare setting
+ Demonstrated experience standardizing complex and disparate processes and maintaining common processes to standards across multiple facilities and in different settings
+ Demonstrated experience working in a multiple facility environment and an ability to operate in a matrix organizational structure
+ Healthcare business operations and/or financial management experience in a healthcare setting
**Preferred qualifications:**
+ Upon hire: Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) – American Health Information Management Association
+ 5 years In medical records and/or information technology (Epic experience preferred)
