**Description**

**Senior DevSecOps Engineer – 100% Remote within the Providence footprint of states (WA, OR, CA, MT, NM, TX, AK)**

We are seeking an experienced Senior DevSecOps Engineer (aka Principal Software Engineer) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing and managing secure DevOps practices, ensuring the continuous integration and delivery of secure software. The Senior DevSecOps Engineer will play a crucial role in enhancing our organization’s cybersecurity posture, reducing vulnerabilities, and optimizing our development and deployment pipelines.

+ **DevSecOps Implementation:** Design, implement, and maintain secure DevOps practices throughout the software development lifecycle. Collaborate with development and operations teams to integrate security controls seamlessly into CI/CD pipelines.

+ **Collaboration:** Work closely with development and operations teams to integrate platforms such as GitHub, Artifactory/XRay, ArgoCD etc. seamlessly with applications and services.

+ **Security Automation:** Develop and maintain automated security testing and vulnerability scanning processes. Implement and manage security orchestration and automation tools to streamline incident response and remediation.

+ **Risk Management:** Conduct security risk assessments and provide recommendations for mitigating risks. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize and address security vulnerabilities.

+ **Infrastructure as Code (IaC):** Implement and manage security best practices in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) deployment processes. Collaborate with infrastructure teams to ensure secure configuration and management of cloud resources.

+ **Performance Optimization:** Identify and address performance bottlenecks, ensuring optimal platform performance and responsiveness.

+ **Incident Response:** Participate in incident response activities and conduct post-incident reviews to enhance security measures. Develop and maintain incident response playbooks.

+ **Community:** Develop and execute strategies to engage and excite developers about our technologies/platforms

**Required Qualifications:**

+ Bachelor’s Degree – Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering. Or equivalent educ/experience,

+ 8 years Related experience; software development preferred with increasing scope and responsibilities.

+ Extensive experience with object-oriented programming in C#, Java, Python or equivalent.

+ Experience with source code control systems such as Git and how to successfully use them in across multiple teams.

+ Extensive SQL integration development experience with SQL/noSQL.

+ Extensive experience with Agile software development methodologies and tools such as Azure DevOps, TFS, and Jira.

+ Proven track record of working both independently and collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplined team.

+ Extensive experience with Azure/AWS/hybrid and other cloud technologies.

+ Experience designing and successfully implementing a highly complex project.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ 7+ years of experience as Sr Developer

+ 3+ years DevSecOps experience

+ 2+ years Developer Community engagement

**Salary Range by location: *hourly listed – position is salaried**

Southern California, NorCal (Humboldt) Alaska (Kodiak, Seward, Valdez) Min: $61.41, Max: $104.56

WA Puget Sound Oregon (Portland) Alaska (Anchorage) Min: $58.92, Max: $100.31

Oregon (Hood River, Medford, Seaside) Min: $54.92, Max: $93.51

Eastern Washington (Richland, Spokane, Walla Walla) Min: $52.43, Max: $89.26

Montana Min: $47.43, Max: $80.76

Texas/ NM Min: $44.94, Max: $76.51
