Overview
The RN Quality/ Risk Evaluator is responsible for the oversight of quality and infection prevention. This position will be responsible for evaluation and facilitation of quality, core measures and/or risk activities. This position assists with data collection and review of medical records to enhance quality management programs and patient outcomes.
* Serves as resource to physicians, employees, and administration regarding issues related to the Core Measure indicators. Maintains competency with current core measure guidelines.
* Utilizes monitoring tools, tracking reports, monitoring reports and data. Identifies area of focus through report analysis. Maintains and validates aggregated data for analysis and reporting as required.
* Ensures a system approach for preventing, identifying, reporting, investigating, and controlling infections and communicable diseases for all residents, staff, volunteers, visitors, and other individuals providing services under a contractual agreement.
* Participates in daily leader rounding.
* Provides clinical and staff development expertise by ensuring the clinical competence of nursing staff and foster the delivery of evidence-based nursing practice. Develop and teach in-service education and continuing education programs. Collaborate and partner with MDS for staff education training.

*Minimum Education*
Preferred: BSN or Bachelors degree in a Healthcare related field.
*Required Skills*
Required – 2 years in quality or risk management or 3 years of clinical nursing experience in an acute care setting.
Basic Life Support (BLS) required. May be obtained week of orientation.
