IDR is seeking a Sr. Java Developer to join one of our top clients in Schaumburg, IL. This role involves designing, developing, maintaining, and optimizing web applications using Java and Spring for our client’s Digital Platform Services team. Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Sr. Java Developer:

  • Design, develop, maintain, and optimize web applications using Java and Spring
  • Work on enhancements for legacy Java-based applications
  • Build microservices and ensure compliance with enterprise architecture standards

Required Skills for Sr. Java Developer:

  • 7+ years of experience in developing scalable web applications, with expertise in Java, JavaScript, JSP/Servlet, and J2EE design patterns
  • 5+ years of experience in Oracle database design, stored procedures, and performance-tuned SQL
  • Strong knowledge of service integration (RESTful/SOAP services)
  • Experience in cloud-native development and public/private cloud platforms
  • Experience with legacy systems

Desirable Skills:

  • Prior experience in the Life Sciences industry
  • Prior experience with LabWare LIMS AKA COTS (Commercial Off-The-Shelf)
